Formal Public Comment Period -- Draft 2026 Aquatic Plant and Algae Management General Permit

The Washington Department of Ecology is releasing the draft Aquatic Plant and Algae Management General Permit for public comment.


Please note that this form is for the purpose of submitting formal comments to the Washington Department of Ecology. Commenter contact information is optional; however, contact information is necessary if you want to receive future notices related to this topic.


The current permit went into effect March 2021 and expires March 21, 2026. The draft general permit, fact sheet explaining the legal and technical basis for the permit, economic impact analysis, a copy of the proposed application for coverage, and information about informational meetings and public hearings are found on the Aquatic Plant and Algae Management General Permit webpage.
