Hazardous Waste Fees
To ensure that hazardous waste is safely managed, Washington charges fees to businesses that generate dangerous waste. The current fees are inequitably distributed amongst businesses and do not fully fund Ecology’s pollution prevention work. This proposal would authorize the creation of a new, more equitable fee system through rulemaking with interested parties.
Please join us for an informational webinar on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at 11:00 am PDT where we will discuss the general proposal, answer questions, and solicit input from interested parties.
