401 Certification for EPA's NPDES Permit for the Gooseberry Point Wastewater Treatment Plant

We are seeking feedback on the conditions we should consider to ensure the EPA NPDES permit for the Gooseberry Point Wastewater Treatment Plant meet state standards. We are seeking feedback on water quality conditions we should consider for our 401 certification, to make sure EPA’s permit meets Washington state’s water quality standards.


Ecology’s comment period will be from midnight October 6, 2026, until 11:59 p.m. October 30, 2026.  


EPA is holding a separate comment period on the draft permit, so please direct any comments you have on the content of the draft permit to them.
