ZEVergreen State Dialogue Sessions

This comment period is open from 12:00 am on September 15, 2025 through November 5, 2025 at 11:59 pm.


Ecology is holding informal dialogue sessions with industry, utilities, Tribal governments, and environmental and community groups, and the public ahead of the next Legislative session to develop actionable strategies that will ensure we don’t lose speed in the transition to clean transportation. We are also accepting written comments. Please see our website for more details and sign up for our email list to stay updated.


Regarding comments on ZEVergreen and transportation electrification in Washington state, we are interested in your input on the following questions:


  1. What is the number one action Washington should take to promote clean transportation and/or reduce transportation emissions?
  2. What types of programs would you like to see Washington State assess and possibly implement to meet air quality and climate targets for transportation?
  3. What kinds of programs, other than financial support, could provide incentive to purchase and operate zero-emission vehicles and equipment?
  4. What principles for program design ensure we don’t leave any Washingtonians behind in the transition to zero-emission transportation?
