Public Comment Period -- Draft 2026 WSDOT MS4 General Permit

The Washington Department of Ecology is releasing the draft Washington Department of Transportation Municipal Stormwater General Permit for public comment.


Please note that this form is for the purpose of submitting informal feedback to the Washington State Department of Ecology. Commenter contact information is optional. However, contact information is necessary if you want to receive future notices related to this topic.


The current permit has been in effect since April 5, 2019, and will continue until a new permit is issued. The draft general permit, fact sheet explaining the legal and technical basis for the draft permit, a copy of the proposed application for coverage, and details about an informational meeting and public hearing can be found on the Washington Department of Transportation Municipal Stormwater General Permit webpage.
